Dr. Lucero has an educational background spanning over two decades, with over 13 years of experience in administration. She has enjoyed her recent role as Executive Director of Student Services and Family Support in serving the KCKPS community. 

She has served as principal at Scott Dual Language Magnet School and Jay Shideler Elementary in Topeka. Dr. Lucero has worked as an Assistant Principal, Adjunct Instructor, and General Education and ESOL Teacher. Throughout her career, she has championed what is best for all students. 

Dr. Lucero has earned several leadership honors and professional recognition, including Woman of Excellence in Education, MANA Latinas in Education, Martin Luther King Alma Award, the Top 20 Under 40 Professionals, and leading Kansas' first School of Excellence and International Academy recognized by the Embassy of Spain. 

She attained her Bachelor of Science in Education from Emporia State University. She holds a Master of Science in School Leadership from Baker University and her Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership and Policy at the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas.
