Lisa Walker currently serves as Executive Director of Federal Programs for Kansas City, Kansas Public Schools.  She is a career educator and an experienced instructional leader with a demonstrated history of working in the K-12 educational leadership and instructional design fields. 

Prior to coming to Kansas City, Kansas Public Schools, Lisa served as an elementary, secondary and central office administrator and concluded her Missouri public education experience in the Grandview C-4 District, where she served as Deputy Superintendent/Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction.  Prior to moving to KCKPS, Lisa worked for an educational non-profit organization, PREP-KC, where she designed and facilitated professional development for K-12 administrators and teachers and served as an Executive Coach for Central Office administrative teams.

Lisa has a proven track record in systems thinking and strategic planning, district continuous improvement and accreditation frameworks, instructional leadership coaching and pedagogy, and her work is characterized by cultivating collaborative frameworks to develop leadership capacity.
