Description:  In this course, students will be equipped with an understanding of the principles and practice of journalism: how to recognize good stories and gather facts through skillful interviewing and research. Students will learn how to organize ideas and format stories while developing sources, craft welcoming leads and satisfying endings, and how to create news and feature articles that inform and engage readers. The course will also examine the historical development of journalism and the role of journalism in society.
