Purpose

We promote a district-wide culture of inclusion by embracing differences as a strategic opportunity to lead efforts in being diverse, equitable and inclusive for all students, families, employees and community

KCKPS’s equity framework hinges on our talented and empowered staff that has a collective responsibility to provide high quality, rigorous instruction and safe and supportive schools while ensuring resources are allocated equitably.

Equity & Inclusion

A commitment to action: the process of redistributing access and opportunity to be fair and just (by changing inequitable policies, practices, institutional cultures, and ideologies), and  A way of being: the state of being free of bias, discrimination, and identity-predictable outcomes and experiences.

The act of creating environments in which any individual or group can be and feel welcomed, respected, supported, and valued to fully participate.

KCKPS’s Beliefs

We believe in embracing the diversity of our district.

We believe in social justice for our students.

We believe in equitability and inclusivity for all.
