I am Dr. Yolanda K. Thompson, the principal of Schlagle High School. As a proud alumnus of KCKPS, I have had the honor, privilege, and pleasure of leading the Stallion community for eight years. Through collective support from our parents, teachers, and community partners, we can bring the Schlagle vision of developing a 21st century education that offers all students equitable access to future opportunities to fruition.

BELL SCHEDULE
Due to the inclement weather days impacting our required 1116 school hours at the high school level, in collaboration with the Kansas National Education Association (KNEA), we have made some adjustments to the high school schedules to meet the requirements.
Beginning Monday, March 18, 2024, we will be adding twenty minutes to each school day. As a result, April 19, 2024, will now be a day off for both staff and students at all levels.
Start Time: 7:10 a.m.
Dismissal Time: 2:25 p.m.
Wednesday Early Release Time: 12:25 p.m.

KCKPS-TV is the cable access channel for Kansas City, Kansas Public Schools. The district’s Communications Office operates and manages KCKPS-TV, which airs content 24-hours, every day of the week.
We provide a variety of viewing options
for the public to access and watch public meetings and district programming on KCKPS-TV.
