Walk-ins are welcome, but pre-registration is strongly encouraged to help us plan sessions and materials.
About Unity in the Community
Unity in the Community (UiC) is a family-centered event that brings together families, schools, and community partners to support student success and family well-being. Our goal is to empower families, strengthen school–community partnerships, and create safe and welcoming learning environments for all.
New This Year: Parent Summit
We’re excited to introduce the Parent Summit, a new addition to Unity in the Community 2026. The Parent Summit will include concurrent breakout sessions for parents and caregivers, focused on:

Increasing parent knowledge

Sharing practical tools to support students and families

Elevating authentic parent voice
Families can choose sessions that best meet their interests and needs.

Connect with 20+ community organizations offering resources and services for families. -
Food & Entertainment
Enjoy food from local vendors and performances by KCKPS student groups. -

A fun, inclusive space to learn, connect, and celebrate together.
Get Involved
Community Partners
Community organizations are invited to participate in the Resource Fair by hosting a table and sharing services, programs, and supports with families. Sign ups close April 15, 2026.

Parent Summit
Community leaders are invited to submit a proposal to present a session to adults and caregivers around various areas for the Parent Summit. Signs up are closed, but if you'd like to be considered to present at our event or in our schools next year please fill out the form.
