Watch: A Major Milestone is Reached in the Sumner Academy New Addition Project
On Friday, August 28, 2026, Sumner Academy students, faculty, and district leadership celebrated a milestone as part of the ongoing Bond Project.
A “topping off” ceremony was held in the school’s gym to mark the construction progress on the school’s new addition.
Several weeks before the ceremony, students, staff, and district leadership signed the beam that construction crews have placed at the very top of the new addition.
When the project is complete in spring 2027, the addition will include new classrooms, a new weight room, and collaboration space.
