The Leadership & Learning Department ensures every student in Kansas City, Kansas Public Schools has the opportunity to reach their full potential.

By aligning our instructional framework with state standards, we help students build the 21st-century skills of communication, critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration — preparing every graduate to earn a Diploma+. Leadership & Learning oversees Diploma+, curriculum and instruction, college and career instructional programs, professional development, and school leadership across all Kansas City, Kansas Public Schools.

Our team empowers students and educators to excel by supporting high-quality instructional programs, providing professional development to strengthen teaching, and leads KCKPS's Diploma+ initiative — ensuring every student graduates prepared for college, careers, and life in a global society.
