Construction Progress Continues Across KCKPS Campuses

Construction crews at the new Argentine Middle School and Woodlands Elementary School campus have been busy in recent weeks.
In early July 2026, crews began site grading, including clearing the forested area to the west and north of J.C. Harmon High School.
Crews have also installed portions of the storm drainage infrastructure, including the delivery and placement of storm structures and piping.
At J.C. Harmon High School, crews have completed extensive site grading and are now excavating the detention pond adjacent to the campus.
Meanwhile, work continues on the new addition at Sumner Academy. Crews are currently focused on foundation construction and drainage improvements.
