For the fourth time in his coaching career, Washington High School football coach Camron Smith has been named the Kansas City Chiefs Coach of the Week.

On Tuesday, November 3, former Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Gari Spani visited Washington High School to present Coach Smith with the honor.

The weekly award recognizes Kansas City-area head coaches for their success on the field and leadership off the field.

The High School Coach of the Week program is a joint initiative between the Kansas City Chiefs and the National Football League (NFL).

It highlights coaches who not only lead their teams to success but also make a difference in the lives of high school student-athletes by preparing them for life beyond football.
