Career Tours with Wyandotte Economic Development Council

Business and ESOL teacher Seth McDairmant and students from J.C. Harmon High School had an exciting opportunity to explore career pathways during a career tour of Ball's Food (Price Chopper) and Associated Wholesale Grocers (AWG). Through this hands-on learning experience, students gained valuable insight into business operations, explored career opportunities available during and after high school, and learned about the skills needed to succeed in today's workforce.

A special congratulations to Joey Murphy, whose name was drawn to receive a $500 scholarship toward his education at Kansas City Kansas Community College.

Throughout the tour, students represented KCKPS with professionalism, curiosity, and respect while engaging with industry professionals. Beyond exploring future careers, students built connections, gained new perspectives, and created lasting memories with their peers.

Hats off to Mr. McDairmant, Ball's Food and AWG for investing in our students and helping them discover the possibilities that await them beyond graduation!
