KCK Car Enthusiasts & Wildcats Connect at Baxter Auto Car Show

Car enthusiasts, KCK community members, and Wildcats were all brought together at this year's Baxter Auto Car Show, where to support the Kansas City, Kansas Public Schools Driver Education Program and show off the district's Work-Based Learning partnership.
Taking place at KCK Honda's Legends location, the event allows fellow Kansas City car enthusiasts to connect while raising support for a program that helps students learn safe driving skills. The car show also provided a great opportunity to highlight our district's Work-Based Learning partnership with Baxter Auto.
Current Washington High School student and Baxter Auto intern, Tommy, was pictured at the show helping Matthew, a Washington High graduate, complete his registration to enter his vehicle in the car show. It was great to see a current and former Washington Wildcat connecting through an event that supports our district!
Through his internship with Baxter Auto, Tommy is gaining hands-on experience in the automotive industry while learning valuable skills such as customer service, communication, teamwork, and responsibility. Opportunities like these give our scholars a chance to experience the workplace firsthand and explore career possibilities before graduating from high school.
A special thank you to Baxter Auto for its continued partnership and commitment to KCKPS students. From providing internships to supporting our Driver Education Program, Baxter Auto continues to make a difference in the lives of our students and school community.
